In an effort to help my son, I kept him on my cell phone account for several years. Then, in late September, he dropped off my account in favor of one for himself and his bride. And that's when the "fun" started with my phone bill.
Unbeknownst to me, when I got a new phone two years ago, AT&T added a second "upgrade" line with a 30-month payout. In other words, instead of paying for two lines every month, I've been paying for three!
Shame on me for not reviewing my monthly bill more closely. That said, you might want to check your next bill (paper or online). The good news is starting in March, when the "upgrade" line I never knew about is paid in full, my monthly bill will drop from $110 to $60.
Let me know how much you will save if you discover you are paying for an "upgrade" line.
