Yes I agree this man will never stand down, back away, admit guilt, etc. I could go on and on. I was married for only five years to a man very much like T. A pathological lier, a selfish and abusive bully. What I took away from living with that was that, like Trump, any attention, whether good or very bad attention, was still attention and that runs him. How this country let this happen is beyond me but we have a "shi_ ton" of work to do if we are going to get democracy back on the rails.

And we can expect that he will just go whimpering away quietly. When has he ever played by any rules?

I think Trump should face the charges without the possibility of pardon by Biden. If congress does it's job, they make T ineligible to hold elected office. There seems to be many legal types who think he's committed enough crimes against the nation to do so. If he gets a pass, so does every president from now 'til the nation burns to the ground.

T-man needs to be held accountable, full stop. If the juries choose to exonerate him, or the people choose to re-elect him, or elect a stand-in synchophant who would pardon him, then the people will have spoken, and that's what democracy is about. Granted, the system has been rigged against the voice of the people (via the Electoral College, voter disenfranchisement, etc.) but it's what we have.

It's up to progressives, liberals and democracy-lovers of any stripe to make sure that the Democratic candidate wins in 2024 and gains control of both houses. If we don't, this stalemate - or worse - continues.

And John Gotti wasn't trying to burn down the country, the Constitution and our democracy. He was just a mobster.

Not ever going to happen. He's delusional.
