Until congress takes meaningful action with regard to guns, voting rights and SCOTUS, I would say we're NOT safe anywhere. So, I suggest (with only half-a-tongue in cheek) buying your soon-to-be granddaughter a bulletproof vest (infant/toddler size) and a ballistic back pack for day care. And maybe BP vests for her parents, just for good luck. (It rarely rains when I carry my umbrella.)
Sad day once agin in our country...but until each member of Congress and SCOTUS maybe sadly personally experiences an act of needless violence against one of THEIR family members, they will continue to be callous and stand by the 2nd amendment in an unrealistic way. It is a frightening time in our country and unfortunately I do not see it getting better anytime soon.....midterms are around the corner and I hope the voters show their anger by voting in those who want to actually protect us!
