My, my, my. Look how quickly political fortunes can change. In less than a week, the abortion vote in Kansas on Tuesday coupled with the Senate's passage of its historic climate and inflation reduction act yesterday, means Republicans need to rewrite their national and state strategies this fall.
My guess is if there are going to be any future book-banning events before the November election, it will be the GOP playbook that needs to banned, not classics like “The Grapes of Wrath” and “To Kill a Mockingbird” or contemporary works like "Heather Has Two Mommies" and "My Princess Boy."
I suppose what people say is true: If you wait long enough, good things will happen. Clearly Democrats have waited long enough this past year. There are approximately 90 days left until the mid-terms. Please, please, please. Don't mess things up for Senate, House and down-ballot candidates coast to coast.

Now, if the Dems can just keep it together and speak with one voice in consistent messages, there might be light at the end of the tunnel!
