At the end of yesterday's Jan. 6 committee hearing, panel members unanimously voted to subpoena former President Donald Trump. After watching any number of talking heads on TV, it's clear no one believes Trump will testify. Ever.
This may sound totally nuts or counter-intuitive, but what if the former president actually wants to testify? You know, like Jack Nicholson's character in "A Few Good Men." Remember when he righteously answered the question, "Did you order a Code Red?" this way: "You're Goddamn right I did." Well, imagine Trump admitting under oath, "Hell yes, I ordered the insurrection." If that happened, I'm guessing The Donald wouldn't be in any more movies; instead, he probably would be in jail.
So, what do all you arm-chair psychologists or wanna-be lawyers think? Do you believe Trump secretly wants to testify? I'll be anxious to hear your reaction.

The Mercury News article from the AP says Trump, "is almost certain to fight the subpoena and decline to testify. On his social media outlet he blasted the committee for not asking him to testify earlier - though he didn't say he would have - and then called the panel a total BUST." So this guy who somehow was allowed into the presidency for four years is above the law and when above the law we now know will never go away as long as he is left out and about.
Hahahahaha...I think the ex-pres will show up for the photo/media op, take the 5th on every question, and then spend the next few days bloviating about the witchhunt and sending emails raising funds for his legal defense.
Then the Georgia indictment (or is it the NY one) will let him find a new way to change the subject.
