With an eye toward the South Carolina primary next month, one way Nikki Haley can distinguish herself from Donald Trump is to name several people she would select to serve in her administration. For starters, she should name New Hampshire governor Chris Sununu as her vice presidential running mate. Next, tell voters who she would pick for the top spots at State, Defense, Treasury and Homeland Security.
I'm not sure who Trump would end up picking for his cabinet, but I wouldn't be surprised if he selects Sen. Lindsey Graham as his running mate, and then invites Kevin McCarthy, Stephen Miller, Michael Flynn, Elise Stefanik and Marjorie Taylor Greene to join his White House staff.
If you ask me, the people Nikki Haley would ask to serve in her administration definitely would be distinctly different from those Donald Trump would ask. So let's find out. I urge the two Republican presidential candidates to make their selections public as soon as possible.
