What did Kevin McCarthy say?

File this under "You've Got To Be Kidding."  

When asked why he doesn't criticize Donald Trump on TV, former Speaker Kevin McCarthy said, "Because it drives him (Trump) crazy." 

Gee, golly, really?  That has to be one of the funniest things I've heard in a long, long time.

If McCarthy believes the former president -- perhaps the meanest person in politics ... who thinks nothing of ripping his opponents to shred -- has a thin skin, then I have a bridge I'd like to sell him.

Over the years, I've learned the difference between gullible and stupid.  Let me know which one you think Kevin McCarthy is.
