Today's Jan. 6 hearing documented White House insiders' reports to then-President Trump that (1) there was no basis for his repeated claims of massive voter fraud and (2) because of the results of their many investigations, the 2020 election was not stolen. Clearly then, the Big Lie was Trump telling his supporters just the opposite.
After watching the testimony from Washington this morning, and then returning home from having run errands, I turned on the TV to watch the news. As expected, CNN and MSNBC talked about today's hearing at the top of their 11 a.m. broadcasts. And what did Fox News talk about? First, calls for Joe Biden to step aside in 2024, and then video of subway violence.
After listening to former Attorney General Bill Barr characterize Donald Trump's state of mind in December of 2020 as "detached from reality," I wonder what reality Fox News represents these days?
I don't believe it is hyperbole to say that, unless you have been living in a cave for the past 18 months, you realize these Jan. 6 hearings are the most important since Watergate. In my opinion, to claim otherwise isn't being naive. It is un-American.
I welcome your opinion.

Just like when I watched everyWatergate hearing session, so am I watching these...
Unlikely that we'll ever get the Fox News crowd onboard. They have too much invested in supporting the Big Lie by the Big Liar. To reverse their position now would be to admit that they were duped - even as they were told they were being duped - all along. Hopefully, however, the hearings may convince more Americans that the democratic foundation of "one citizen, one vote" is being undermined by the Republican power structure and its representatives at every level of government across this nation. If it does, then we may yet have hope for the Republic.
I can hardly wait for the next installment.
