Because Taylor Swift is one of the most influential people on the planet, I'm not surprised she's being encouraged to support a presidential candidate now.
If I was advising the mega superstar, I would urge her to support a robust voter turnout instead ... not a particular candidate. Once she declares for either a Republican or a Democrat, Swift opens herself up to more than criticism. She becomes a political hack. Who needs that?
By encouraging people of all ages to vote, Swift avoids partisan attacks and establishes herself as a true American patriot. After all, voting is a time-honored tradition in this country. As Dr. Martin Luther King once said, "Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter."
I doubt Taylor Swift would want that to happen. I'm guessing that's why she's been quoted as saying, "It's not enough to want change. You have to make change by voting."

I agree.
