The following was reported in yesterday’s Wall Street Journal. WASHINGTON—Members of the House select committee investigating the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol are discussing the next steps in their investigation, including whether to seek an interview with former Vice President Mike Pence and potentially ex-President Donald Trump, according to one of the Republican members of the panel.
Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R., Ill.), the panel member who will be leading some of the questioning at next Thursday’s prime-time hearing, said in an interview ahead of a meeting Thursday that the panel could decide to request a written interview with Mr. Pence. The committee could also discuss whether to issue a subpoena to the former vice president or former president to try to compel them to testify, he said.
In case you missed it, I posted the following on November 10, 2021.

Forget the underlings. Subpoena Trump and Pence.
Thought for the day
I don't pretend to be an expert in constitutional law, but I do pride myself in having common sense. To date, virtually everyone in former President Donald Trump's inner circle, except maybe Ivanka and Jared Kushner, have been subpoenaed to appear before the House Select Committee investigating the January 6 riot at the Capitol.
If you ask me, this leaves only two other witnesses the committee needs to subpoena: former Vice President Mike Pence and Mr. Trump himself.
Frankly, I don't care what key White House advisors like Mark Meadows, Stephen Miller or Kayleigh McEnany think the vice president or president were doing when the "stop the steal" mob was attacking Congress. No, I want hear what both Pence and Trump have to say, under oath, about the administration's reactions to the rioters' plans -- when each of them first heard about the plans, who they talked to in the days leading up to the insurrection, what advice, if any, they gave the organizers and more.
In my opinion, nothing less than the future of democracy is at stake here. I hope the House Select Committee will cut to the chase and subpoena the former vice president and president soon.

Yes, why not? It is time that we hear from Pence. I am not certain that I care about hearing from trump - you can't believe anything that he says anyway, even if he is under oath.
I agree. Unfortunately our ex President never tells the truth and thinks he has immunity or privilege
and may plead the 5th.
