Kamala Harris will float like a butterfly but sting like a bee
Just when Democrats coast to coast were about to call their local undertakers, the improbable happened. Joe Biden passed the baton to Kamala Harris.
When Democrats woke up last Sunday morning, they were preparing themselves for a Trump Tide in November. By mid-afternoon, their pessimism was gone. Unlike when Lyndon Johnson dropped out of the 1968 presidential race, leaving his party in near shambles, today's faithful of all ages, colors and stripes are now energized, organized and engaged.
I have a feeling Donald Trump is about to come face to face with his worst nightmare. Invoking the spirit of the late, great Muhammad Ali, Vice President Harris is going to "float like a butterfly but sting like a bee." I hope the former president's medical team keeps Epi-pens handy, because they definitely are going to need them.
The timing of Sheila Jackson Lee's passing
How ironic is it that longtime civil rights champion Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee should pass away the day before President Joe Biden dropped out of this year's presidential race and immediately endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris as the Democratic Party's heir apparent? I have a feeling that if Jackson Lee knew what was about to happen last Sunday, she would have postponed her death until after she called Harris to wish her well.

Biden’s historic announcement
Now that President Biden has made his historic decision, I presume Vice President Harris will be the Democrats' choice to run against Donald Trump in November. The question now is this: Who will Harris pick as her running mate? Let the veepstakes begin.
I can’t imagine any reason or justification for voting for Trump. Dig around deep enough and you could find reasons not to vote for any candidate. The main reason that some will not vote for Kamala is that she is a “she” and her skin is not the right color. Let’s tell it like it is and get all of our prejudices out there. Here is mine: I cannot vote for a man who shows disdain for anyone who does not reason erratically as he does or who will lead our country into disaster.
I think you should be happy Biden dropped out! A disaster, but think Dems are on a sugar high… may be wrong, but time will tell! Trump had a small window, after his convention to be better but blew it! Trump is Trump…. But Kamela is Kamela, and she has many issues America may not be ready for! She was the MOST left wing Senator in 2019… left of Bernie! Many of her VP staffers have quit due to dislike and abuse! Kamela’s record as attorney General in Cali is not the best, and when exposed may upset many of her black voters! Those of us who want LEGAL immigration, lower taxes, commonsense energy policies, and voter ID’s don’t want Harris! To me…she is nearly a communist in her views! So.. again we will see! 2 very different and VERY flawed choices, in my view, and America should have done better! BUT… with choices we have… I will be voting for the chaotic Donald Trump because America and the world were better off under him! His vision and policies are better for me! Kamela was a horrible and unlikeable candidate in 2020…we will see in 2024, but Biden was going to lose for sure!
