My “interview” with Donald Trump
This is my 400th FreidomReport post since launching my blog 2 1/2 years ago. Thank you to my subscribers. Just so you know, the following is fictitious.
Denny Freidenrich: Congratulations Sir. You must be pinching yourself. How does “President Donald Trump” sound to you?
Donald Trump: Thank you. This was a huge victory for our country. You know, I always expected to win, but I’m feeling humbled, overwhelmed and thankful right now. As for your question, I’m sure I’ll get used to that title soon.
DF: Now that the campaign is over, what’s the biggest take-away for you?
DT: Just how rigged the entire election process is. It’s really rigged. Do I need to spell it out for you? Rig …
DF: That’s Okay, I know how to spell the word. If what you say is true, then what advice do you have for future presidential candidates?
DT: Get out there early and rig the system your way before the media and your opponent put you in a box.
DF: That sounds awfully pessimistic. Isn’t there anything positive you learned while running for president?
DT: Not really. I’m a businessman and realist. If this campaign had been a real estate deal, I might have walked away a long time ago.
DF: And in doing so, you would have let down millions of your supporters.
DT: I don’t see it that way. People elected me because they know I’m a straight shooter. They like the fact I say things they’ve been thinking about for years.
DF: Which raises the question: Did you tell the truth on the campaign trail? Many of the facts you quoted have been debunked.
DT: Says who? You mean like Hillary is a criminal? It’s true. Just because the mainstream media didn’t like hearing it doesn’t make my claim false.
DF: How do you explain the fact that after years of investigations and millions of dollars spent, Hillary Clinton never has been charged with a crime?
DT: It’s all part of the same, foul recipe we call politics. No one had the guts to call her out like I did. I sleep well knowing I tried to expose Hillary for the person she really is.
DF: OK, I get the fact you don’t like “Crooked Hillary.” That said, do you feel sorry for her?
DT: To tell you the truth, no. More importantly, neither do the millions of people who voted against her. They know Hillary’s a fraud, plain and simple.
DF: To that point, some of your supporters talked about taking up arms against Clinton if she had won. Others wanted to impeach her before inauguration day. Where do you stand on violence or congressional action?
DT: I’m not in favor of violence, but I understand people’s frustration. They felt powerless against Hillary and her political machine. My hope is they feel very differently now.
DF: And impeachment?
DT: According to the constitutional scholars I admire, this was a real possibility.
DF: Are you aware that as far back as 1873, it’s been determined impeachment is not possible for crimes committed before someone becomes president?
DT: Ahhhh, so you’re admitting Hillary committed crimes?
DF: Not in the least. I’m just stating a fact. Impeachment is only an option if a president commits a crime while in office.
DT: Oh, look at the time. I’ve gotta go. Well, this certainly has been an interesting interview. Hey, don’t forget to leave me your twitter handle so I can tweet you in the future.
