The images from Miami Beach are shocking. I don't care what you call it (i.e., Spring Break, Party Town USA or whatever), I prefer to call it an insurrection.
Just like the rioters who stormed the Capitol Jan. 6 in Washington, the mobs of mostly young people in Florida really should know better (and so should their parents).
It's one thing to arrest a dozen or so maskless revelers for curfew violations but it's another thing altogether to allow hundreds, if not thousands, of them to party like it's pre-COVID 2019.
For everyone's health and safety, I'm glad Miami Beach is now hanging out the proverbial "Not Welcome" sign for the next 2 to 3 weeks.
What do you think?

We could give all kinds of excuses ...er, I mean reasons, why these 'kids' should be allowed to have their fun. But, they haven't been working hard in college all semester, and there's a pandemic going on. They are old enough to know the difference between anarchy and good citizenship. I wouldn't go so far as to call it insurrection, since they're not really trying to overthrow the government. They're just proving that they are in considerate jerks who can't be called adults at this point. Maybe a few days in jail will provide a little insight...
