Chinese officials say shooting down its spy balloon was an "overreaction." I have two reactions of my own: First, what would President Xi Jinping do if the U.S. ever launched a balloon over mainland China? And second, what's the difference between a spy balloon and a spy war plane (besides the obvious)? Basically, aren't they both collecting similar data? President Biden's order to shoot down China's "surveillance" balloon was the right call.

I am hoping that the divers can retrieve most of the equipment inside the balloon and tell us what they recorded. I read that the balloon traveled over several missile sights in the US. That can't be an accidental drifting off course, right?
I certainly agree. What could they have been thinking? Or maybe they just weren’t.
