Sad news about Betty White passing away yesterday — just weeks shy of her 100th birthday.

Back when I was with SCAN Health Plan in Long Beach, Betty was the honored guest at the company’s annual community celebration. Lucky me. I got to be her wing man for the evening.

Betty White was a class act that night 30+ years ago. She not only was gracious and kind, she was thoughtful and funny. While it may have been a work night, I had a lot of fun that evening.

So RIP Betty. You may be gone, but you never will be forgotten.
