If you haven't figured it out by now, I enjoy writing this blog. I also like reading comments submitted by subscribers (and non-subscribers). With this thought in mind, here are a few reactions to Tuesday's post. Clearly, my comment about Biden giving Trump the finger has struck a nerve with people. I hope you will enjoy reading the following ...
President Biden's decision is justifiable for several key reasons: 1. The charges against Hunter appear politically motivated, serving as a broader attack on President Biden and his administration. 2. The President’s actions prevent his son from facing severe consequences, such as incarceration, for a firearm possession charge, which has since been addressed. This action aligns with the principles of fairness and highlights the President's willingness to act decisively in matters that touch both personal and broader political contexts.

I agree with you about the finger. And so what. To all those Dems who sat on their hands and to the Republicans who are so self-righteous, yes - here's to you. On another note, at least President Biden did something for his son -- Trump's pardons were bottom of the barrel.

Denny--I am against any President making pardons and reversing the judicial process so I am certainly in the same camp as the "growing number of Democrats" and House Republicans. And I don't get how this is shooting Trump the finger. To me, it just adds to his embarrassing Presidential legacy of incompetence and alleged corruption.

Joe's "legacy" will not depend on, or be diminished by, his doing what any good dad would do -- bail his son out. The Constitution gives him the power so he used it. I've favored the Democrats since I was old enough to vote, but the party is making it hard to like them anymore. The party has been resting on a half-century's laurels while Real America passed them by. Maybe it really IS time for a new political movement.

Another example of a President not being Presidential. And that goes for all sides. It would be good if the American public could find a way to influence our leaders to live within the boundaries of ethics and morality if not just good common sense. It has been written, it has been said.

My opinion and that of the Republicans really don’t matter, but those of the Democratic donor class do-immeasurably. Where are the Joe Liebermans of your party today, someone who has the integrity and fortitude to stand in the well of the Senate and condemn the travesty? This venal and vicious President has done more damage to the Democratic Party than any Republican could ever do.

It seems that the American public wants to be entertained and are now being held subservient to Trump’s hand picked staff and Cabinet who further demonstrate his lack of ethics and taste. So let’s go easy on President Biden whose concern for and the American people, unlike Trump’s, is much similar to the concern he has for his only son.

Personally, I think Biden was giving the finger to the Democratic Party for ousting him out of office. What father wouldn't pardon his kid, but he shouldn't have kept lying about it.
