In a matter of days, women of color have exploded onto the American landscape -- from the inauguration of Vice President Kamala Harris and the introduction of poet Amanda Gorman to recording artist H.E.R. singing at the Super Bowl and House Delegate Stacey Plaskett eloquently laying out the facts during Donald Trump's second impeachment trial.
Black women are redefining what it means to command this nation's attention and respect. If they were alive today, I'm sure Harriet Tubman, Rosa Parks, Shirley Chisholm, Coretta Scott King and Billie Holiday would be more than proud. They would be saying, "We told you so."
