How ironic that the Orange County Register's front page story today about Rupert Murdoch (Fox chair says 2020 election ‘not stolen’) and the paper's editorial (Dominion lawsuit puts focus on bad journalism) should appear on the same day. Was that planned or was it a coincidence?
Dominion's $1.6 billion lawsuit against Fox News has revealed troubling details about the station's celebrity hosts and their relentless lies about Donald Trump and his unproven claims of election fraud.
I don't know if those lies led to the Jan. 6, 2021 insurrection at the Capitol, as some have speculated, but I do know this: they didn't just tarnish journalism, they came close to mortally wounding it. Shame on Fox for knowingly putting ratings and profits above sincere, honest reporting.

I don't disagree with your point, but...
The journalists tainted were not Fox News. They are not journalists; they are entertainers, snake oil sellers, vaudevillians. Watching Fox News is like getting your news by watching The Simpsons.
The journalists who have tainted the word, brought low the 4th estate, are the ones from the "mainstream" media - NY Times, WAPO, LA Times, CBS, ABC, NBC etc., who let the real news and important situations get buried on page 22 instead of above the fold on page 1.
Thank Whatever for MSNBC and the few i-net journalists (like you) who keep trying to get people to ignore the buffoonery and - as we said in the Navy - "Listen Up!"
