FreidomReport is my new publishing platform. By way of background, I grew up in Palo Alto and graduated from USC in 1970. When I was working as a congressional staff assistant on Capitol Hill in 1972, I wrote my first letter to the editor (published in the Washington Post). That was the beginning of my love affair with the written word. Since then, I’ve had more than 1,500 pieces published in newspapers and magazines coast to coast.

I consider myself an American first and a Democrat second. Besides politics, I love living at the beach, hot dogs, the Fab Four, baseball, golf and my kids (Tyler, Emily, Spencer, Chelsea and Zoe).
