Two weeks ago today, I emailed the following note to Congresswoman Zoe Lofgren. For those of you who don't know, Zoe and I were sophomore classmates at Cubberley High School in Palo Alto (1963-'64). Eight years later, Zoe and I served together as staff assistants to Rep. Don Edwards on Capitol Hill. Today Zoe, who was first elected to Congress in 1994, is a member of the House Select Committee investigating the Jan. 6 insurrection in Washington.
Zoe:
The night Liz Cheney read the names Sean Hannity, Laura Ingraham and Brian Kilmeade -- and the texts they sent Mark Meadows on Jan. 6 -- you practically could hear their heads explode.
I don't usually bet, but I'm guessing Hannity, Ingraham and Kilmeade sent more than one text that fateful day. If true, then I'd like to know what each text said and to whom they were sent.
Maybe they sent texts to others in the White House or to their best friends in high school. No matter who, those other texts could prove invaluable to the House Committee and the public.
Like I'm fond of saying ... just my big, fat opinion.
Denny
Let me be clear. Zoe did not reply to my note, so imagine my surprise when I heard last night the Select Committee has asked Fox News host Sean Hannity to voluntarily shed light on his texts to White House officials (1) days before the Jan. 6 riot, (2) the day of the riot, and (3) days afterwards. I'll never know if my good friend took my suggestion seriously, but I do know this: If Hannity's colleagues at Fox, Laura Ingraham and Brian Kilmeade, are asked to explain their texts, then you probably will be able to hear me shout, "Yes! Thank you, Zoe!"

Thank you....
