Looking for water on Mars vs. Texas

The irony of Perseverance landing on Mars and the reporting from Texas hasn’t been lost on me. No longer is “Houston we have a problem” a call for help from space; instead, it’s a distress call from one end of the Lone Star State to the other. If you don’t believe me, ask Senator Ted Cruz. I’m sure he’ll be happy to explain the irony of looking for any signs of water on Mars vs. finding fresh drinking water in Texas.
