Back on March 26th, I urged the Republican National Committee to create public service ads with one goal in mind: To convince millions of party faithful -- upwards of 40 percent of reluctant or ambivalent Republicans according to Forbes and CNN -- to roll up their sleeves and get a COVID shot.
Today, former President Donald Trump is being lobbied by Trump administration insiders to do what the RNC has failed to do: Publicly tell his followers, in no uncertain terms, to get vaccinated.
Unless you've been living in a cave, you know millions of Republicans still listen to only one person (Trump). It's time for the former president to come out of the shadows and speak about the importance of COVID shots in the light of day.
