Donald Trump doesn't know much about legal appeals. Immediately after the 2020 presidential election, his record of losses stood at 61 out of 62 court cases. If that wasn't enough, he has lost countless other appeals since then. Some relate to his arguments about presidential confidentiality, while others include allegations about rape, fake electors, the Jan. 6 insurrection and hiding classified documents.
Spring is baseball season, so let me put it this way: If Trump was playing for a major league ball club, he'd be batting something like 1 for 75 (or 0.013). With a record-low batting average like that, the former president's baseball career would be over. Come to think of it, isn't this what rank and file Republicans should be saying about his political career now?
Because his appeals have failed over and over, Donald Trump should follow in the footsteps of baseball legends like Willie Mays, Ted Williams, Babe Ruth and Jackie Robinson. These Hall of Fame greats didn't want to quit the game, but they had to. For the good of the GOP team, I believe #45 should hang up his political cleats and announce his retirement from the 2024 presidential campaign trail.

I love baseball. Here are my Little League All-Star teammates (circa 1960). If you are wondering, I’m standing (far left).

Aww - Fred Wooding standing in the center. Yes Trump SHOULD walk away but he's never played on a team. A selfish bully and only about him. How do you deal with these people? I was married to one for five years. You cannot engage. You simply leave and cut all ties and ignore. I wish I didn't have to see Trump in the news because for people like him even the worst most negative exposure is still exposure. Sorry but I know this person.
