History often rhymes

Thought for the day

Mark Twain reportedly once said, "History does not repeat itself, but it often rhymes."  Having recently rewritten the words to Louise Shropshire's civil rights anthem, "We Shall Overcome," I wonder what Twain would say about "Ukraine Shall Overcome?"

(And before you ask, the answer is yes.  "We Shall Overcome" was ruled in the public domain in 2018.)
