Have you heard the election conspiracy theory involving baseball great Willie Mays?
Thought for the day
Earlier this week, a totally unsubstantiated (i.e., bogus) story began circulating that Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce and the NFL were conspiring to influence both the outcome of the Super Bowl and the 2024 presidential election. I don’t know how a theory like this gets started, but I’m sure it won’t be the last one we hear this year.
With this last thought in mind, have you heard the latest theory involving Hall of Fame great Willie Mays? He’s trying to influence the outcome of next fall’s World Series and the ‘24 election. You know it’s got to be true, because a big celebration is being planned to honor The Say Hey Kid on 2-4-24? (In case you need reminding, Willie wore #24.)
Growing up in Palo Alto in the 1950s, I was hooked on the Giants and their terrific center fielder the day they played their first game in San Francisco. Back then, wherever Willie went, he was surrounded by adoring fans (much like Taylor Swift is today). So mark my words: Don’t be surprised if/when a crazy theory about Willie emerges.
Yes, in today’s world of bizarre theories, 2+2=5 — especially on 2-4-24. Go figure.

Hadn't heard about Willie until this Denny. But I'm sure we are in for a boatload of conspiracies to come this year.
