Because he has refused to comply with a subpoena issued by the Select Committee investigating the Jan. 6 insurrection, the House of Representatives voted last week to find former Laguna resident and ex-Trump aide, Peter Navarro, in contempt of Congress. This is no slap on the wrist. The next step in Navarro's ongoing battle to protect his former boss is a possible criminal investigation by the Department of Justice.
This isn't the first time people from Orange County have been mixed up in nefarious presidential matters. Do you remember Richard Nixon's Newport Beach attorney Herb Kalmbach? As a result of the Watergate investigation, Kalmbach ended up in jail for being, as some described, "a conduit for Nixon's dirty money."
Now comes Navarro and disgraced Chapman University law professor John Eastman. Based on their public statements and written memos, it is clear both were up to their eyeballs helping to prevent the peaceful transfer of power from Donald Trump to Joe Biden. Makes you wonder what is in the water here, doesn't it?
I'm no lawyer, but I like to think I know the difference between right and wrong. I believe it is only a matter of time before DOJ comes looking for Mr. Navarro. Despite all his public bravado, I'm guessing at this point he'd rather be living a quiet life back in Laguna, and not be the subject of this historic investigation.

Denny, I can not let this pass without commenting about you 'knowing right from wrong'...and the inference you are making. I know a good deal about Peter's heart and intentions that grew from building a friendship with him over a number of years. I believe Peter is doing what he believes to be the best for our country regardless of the personal consequences to himself.
Thank you for this information.
