Despite the very public, legal findings of more than 60 courts, including the Supreme Court, coupled with his own White House counsel’s findings, Donald Trump and his supporters keep telling the American public the 2020 election was rigged (or stolen).
Why? Because they know the seeds of doubt they are planting now will bear fruit next November should Joe Biden win reelection. If you ask me, this is the ultimate, cynical political ploy of our lifetime.
One person who is totally on board with this strategy is Rep. Elise Stefanik of New York. When asked Sunday on "Meet the Press" if she will vote to certify the 2024 election results, Stefanik wouldn't commit. If that wasn't enough, the fourth-ranking Republican in Congress, who says she'd be honored to serve as Trump's running mate, has begun repeating 45’s claim that those convicted and jailed for crimes they committed at the Capitol on January 6 are “hostages.”
Politically speaking, I understand why Elise Stefanik is positioning herself like this, but let me be clear: She is not qualified to be Vice President of the United States. Does anyone believe she should be a heartbeat away from the presidency? I certainly don't. Will parents want their daughters to emulate Stefanik and her twisted mindset that cozying up to power is more important than principle? I hope not.
Granted, Elise Stefanik has a future in politics. That said, I suggest she consider something more realistic, like replacing Ronna McDaniel at the Republican National Committee or Wayne LaPierre at the National Rifle Association instead of dreaming about serving any time soon in the White House. What do you say?

OMG this person is, to use an old sexist term, a total bimbo. Please save us from all of this nonsense. If I had to I'd vote for Liz Cheney for President!
I totally agree with everything you said! She is not qualified to be VP!
