Biden bans Russian oil and gas imports

While watching President Biden announce Russian oil and gas imports are now banned in the U.S., I couldn't help but wonder why he didn't invite Republican and Democratic members of Congress to stand with him as he made his remarks.  It's one thing for the president to say there is bipartisan support for the ban.  Imagine the impact his words could have had if Senators Mitch McConnell and Chuck Schumer, along with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Kevin McCarthy, were standing shoulder to shoulder behind him.  As the old saying goes, "One picture's worth a thousand words."
