Imagine the managing editor of a major newspaper, like the Washington Post, New York Times or Wall Street Journal, admitting he or she allowed reporters to smear a candidate running for office, daily for months, when the editor and reporters all knew the stories were false. When asked why, the editor shrugged and said, "It simply was a strategy to make money."
In essence, this is the same excuse Rupert Murdoch described when asked, under oath in Dominion’s $1.6 billion lawsuit, why Fox News allowed star commentators like Tucker Carlson, Sean Hannity and Laura Ingraham to constantly spread Donald Trump's "Big Lie" about election fraud in 2020. Murdoch actually said, "It wasn't a blue or red issue for Fox. It was a green issue."
So much for journalistic ethics.

Do you think the Fox News viewer believe this? I don't know how Fox News is reporting it - maybe not at all?
I am proud to say that I never once watched Fox News. How anyone would believe what they say is beyond me.
